One in five women in England and Wales have experienced some type of sexual assault since the age of 16. More than 80% of victims do not report their experiences to police. In The Chaos Theory, a female character is triggered back to incidents of childhood abuse. Whilst it happened in her family home, many children and young people today are victims of modern-day slavery. 1 in 4 victims of modern slavery are children. Sexual assault and modern-day slavery affect people regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, faith, disability, background or upbringing.
