Drug Addiction
Across the Square Mile and beyond many face the misery the drug trade causes. Cocaine use is rife in the City. There is a risk-taking culture where people like to work hard and play hard. Users fail to recognise the link between the drug usage and violent crime in the UK as well as environmental and social problems in the countries it is produced.

In our play, one of the characters - a city boy, as a result of taking copious amounts of cocaine, spirals out of control and loses nearly everything. In the play, cocaine use is not looked down upon, more celebrated, until it starts to ruin relationships and the mental health of the user. It creeps up on the character – much like it impacts on people in our community.
